The Mother-fucking goddamn Off-season Thread

i'm pretty sure most GM's discuss major deals with most team presidents. it sure as fuck ain't rare. And they won't always agree.

now one man's "strong opinions" can be another man's "dictating moves". but it does seem like at least 1 or 2 people in the dubas camp think it was the latter.

I think HL might have hit on the actual occam’s razor here…..Dubas tells us he just learned the toll the job was taking on the family, and he’s clearly pretty emotional reflecting on it…….maybe he talked it over with his wife and decided the best thing for their family was him walking away, and so his agent gins up an offer he knows will get rejected, protecting Kyle from the stigma of walking out on the team.

…that roughly connects what both camps said, fairly well.




(the one hitch being, him and his agent don’t expect Shanny to air so much?)

No chance. If he wanted to go, he’d have said so. Only a lunatic would go out the way he did deliberately.
 
What I really really wonder (I’m only on page 123 as I write this)…what did 34 and 44 have to say about the presser? I’m betting shanny didn’t make this move without discussing it with at least matthews first.

I highly doubt they discussed with the players before making the move.
