Never said the media weren't a bunch of talking asses...but what's the point of complaining (unless you turn it into a work of art like firejoemorgan.com)

What I question is why are you giving these muppets the only thing they want -- your undivided attention? Don't you have a good book to read....you can always get your smart Leaf takes where I get them...zeke, mindzeye and LOF!!!
 
I want the Oilers to lose for no other reason than they are choosing to wear these stupid jerseys that make them look like the Chicago Bears

To send a message that we won't be pushed around physically. Take a look at Washington in Game 1, first thing they did was Ovie ran over Krejci, to set the tone for the series. Of course the Leafs need to use their skill to win the series, but of course physicallity is a factor for both teams as well.

Literally cannot follow my team anywhere on any medium/platform other than forumice without running into their stupidity.

Part of the funny bit is that Romanov is probably their best hitter and they're sitting him.

Montreal has a few defenders who live and die by being able to throw cross checks with impunity, Anderson running around out of position chasing hits, and when healthy Gallagher picking fights with goalies.

There’s got to be a ton of good Twitter follows...and The Athletic’s leafs coverage looks good to me (their Habs coverage is meh)

But I hear ya...mainstream coverage of The Leafs sounds like shit... but is it any worse than mainstream coverage of most teams?

Okay, I can follow Dom and a couple of meme accounts.

The Athletic's Leaf coverage has taken a significant downturn the last 2 years (Dom notwithstanding).

Is it worse. Depends. Is it worse if your toilet overflows or your sewer backs up. You've got shit all over the place in both scenarios but the volume is slightly different.
 
It’s annoying because the broadcast could be an amazing platform for a really intelligent analysis of the team.
 
I guess I'm resigned to the fact that the NHL is basically the beer league of Pro Sports.

I like what Jack Han does but he really stands out in the NHL.

Compared to the NFL where there's a bunch of Jack Hans out there serving every market, across every platform -- web, newsletters, podcasts, deep twitter dives. I pay ZERO attention to mainstream NFL coverage -- it's just loud and meaningless.

I wasn't joking months ago when I suggested Zeke should launch his own version of Pro Football Focus. Those guys were fed up listening to muppets and started their own thing. Started with stats....and now are thought leaders on the edges of the mainstream.

Seriously. I get my fill of content from this board. I have no time for any of these other sources.
