After years of crying about bad goaltending, and living with a guy like Toskala giving up back-breaking bad goals you still can't admit that seeing those two bloopers go in would deflate any team in the league.

They didn't stand a chance in that game once that shit hit the fan.

Ehh... the Leafs had the same thing happen to them with Raycroft in game 82 against the Habs in 2007. What did they do? They won 6-5.
 
Which is exactly why I said we could have used a Roberts or Nieuwendyk.

Psssh. All you need is for a player as good as Martin Havlat to be playing on your 3rd line and you're golden. Nevermind Brian Smolinski being on your 1st line, that's immaterial, just make sure you stack one side of the ice with first line quality wingers across 3 lines.

Ottawa needed a lot more of this:

There is reckless disregard for human life in those eyes. Ottawa needed a lot more of that than they had.

Hasek was a great goalie but a complete primadonna muppet.

Hasek was the best goalie you guys ever had. I couldn't believe how ****ing good he was in 2005-06, even with the artificially increased offence due to all the penalties and obstruction calls elevating scoring.

I still maintain that the Sens win the Stanley Cup that year if he doesn't get injured.

That was again a case of Muckler thinking the price was too high in terms of giving up youth. That was the story of his attitude regarding the trade deadline. It cost them.
 
love how on that cross goal, the guy who blew the assignment was the useless hack who they took along to the olympics one years as a defensive 'specialist'.

by the way... sweet stop by joseph about a minute before the cross winner after mccabe got caught running around.
