Back to square one IMO, time to find an experienced GM willing to groom an inexperienced assistant. Maybe Spezza is willing to come back depending on Shanny's choice.

Also, how many GM's do you know that don't negotiate their own contract? An agent? Seriously?

I was alright with Dubas, and I liked the way that Shanny brought him along. But playoff success matters - and Dubas would come out after every failure and admit to a few "rookie mistakes". Well fuck, of course learning on the job is important - but makes me wonder if he was really "fully baked" when they fired Lou.
