If Dubas rolls the dice on Blackwood as the clear #2 option to a legitimate starting goalie that he also adds this off-season, that’d be fine.

If Blackwood is his #1 or 1A goalie though, then yeah, that’s an excellent way to get himself fired.

In that case I don't see how this works. he can't be who you're bringing in as starter. and that qualifier is too much for a backup on any team, let alone this one.

I would take Wright. I don't think Slafovsky does enough things besides score to take him over the 2 way centre.

I just don't see the Jagr comparisons I'm reading. He's intriguing but I think Wright not being able to play hit his value on the eyes of these guys.

I mean if the winger is significantly better than the centre, maybe you can draft him first, but I don't think that's the case here.
