is Fleury still any good?
Sounds like stories from the people who claimed Brodie wouldn't waive to go to the Leafs only to have him sign with the Leafs first chance he got. Just B.S stories. So MAF goes from not wanting a midseason trade to Toronto to signing there in the offseason?
This pig don't moo IMO
It's Fleury...he could fall of a cliff and get claimed by father time, or put up a .925 and win another vezina. Nobody would be surprised by either.
fair enough. just based on his Fleuriness throughout his career, me (and my heart) are not interested. It's Fleury...he could fall of a cliff and get claimed by father time, or put up a .925 and win another vezina. Nobody would be surprised by either.
I feel like I made a bunch of money back when he was a Pen cause I would frequently bet against them come playoff time assuming (rightfully) that he would find a way to sabotage the team. I cannot forget these experiences, despite his strange Vegas renaissance...I much prefer steady average over world beater or tire fire. Just need a guy that you can depend on to keep you in a game and not lose it for you. Fleury is really good at losing games for his teams. That quality start percentage in his playoff career is scary.
And even then he eventually lost his series for Vegas vs the Habs. I get that he can steal a lot of games or even series but he'll crush you when you least expect it. Yes you can ride your other guy when he sucks and go tandem but it would be at the expense of a game or two.I feel like I made a bunch of money back when he was a Pen cause I would frequently bet against them come playoff time assuming (rightfully) that he would find a way to sabotage the team. honestly I think he would rival Fred for the title of Chief Muffin Man.And even then he eventually lost his series for Vegas vs the Habs. I get that he can steal a lot of games or even series but he'll crush you when you least expect it.
I think statistically even Fred is far more likely to have a "quality start" in the playoffs than Fleury throughout their careers. If the Leafs get him they better have a solid, dependable tandem dude. If Fleury has a short leash and they have a legit 1b to go along with him I can deal with it.honestly I think he would rival Fred for the title of Chief Muffin Man.
