In theory, they could bump that up to 9.8M by trading Kerfoot.

But the deeper we get into the off-season without him getting moved, the more likely it becomes that Dubas thinks he's a good use of $3.5M worth of cap space and intends to keep him.
 
I was at the Penn Centre in St. Catherine's tonight. They have a meet and greet with "Toronto Maple Leafs goalie Jack Campbell" scheduled for July 23rd. The store was worried that Campbell wouldn't be a Leaf on the 23rd.

No need to worry now.
 
Will be interesting if we get past the first round with Murray, but lose in the second round because the offense goes dry again.

Does that end up being viewed as a success to keep Dubie around?

This could play out in a lot of different ways, but considering we have an elite team in front of the net, I really don't think this is going to be a difference maker in the end.

15 yrs to get back to even getting the decision maker his coffee is a long, hard road. Glasses was a hot commodity a few years ago, if he fucks this up I have a feeling his career is going to look a lot more like JFJ's than many of us would have guessed 24 months ago.

Leafs are in a shit situation with this where they might be forced to keep him. Maybe they want him negotiating Matthews extension? It's only 1 year away. to present him with an offer.
 
I'm pretty sure Shanny would have enough time himself to get the multi axle truck license he will need to back Austons next contract up to his door for him.
