TML? More like FML, amirite? Yet Another Off Season Thread

Well.. He's been horrendous in the NHL but he had good numbers in Russia 6 years ago. In many ways both him and Murray are potentially bounce-back type of bets at ages where bouncing back is still possible.

But 6 years ago is a long time and it wasn't in the NHL so... Nowhere near a lock.

he does seem to have among the highest upsides out there though. at the price point I'd rather him than soupy or Kuemper

As we've all noted, the options out there sorta suck ass. So you have to make bets on which guy is least likely to continue to suck ass moving forward. Samsonov and Murray are IMO both better bets than most because of their talent level and potential upside. Both guys are sorta aiming high in some ways with boom or bust potential.

There's no sugar coating it.. He hasn't been good. But the talent is there and maybe they can coach him into becoming something. Both goalies are now projects as the Leafs try to revive both of their professional careers. Risky. But I don't hate it.

Yost has been really high on the Leafs in recent years but the last few days hes turned a 180 and went south on their goaltending choices

Not sure I agree they weren't prepared but I can agree with the reluctance to see the choices as a positive

If we care about GSAx (and I'm not sure I do) then he's most likely terrible, especially in his last two years.

But the Leafs clearly don't care about GSAx anymore either I guess.
