Johnny plays better when he's grinding with plugs. He and Willy really weren't great together last year. He struggles to keep up with pacey wingers.

I’m a little surprised too. I figured it’d be one of those deals announced as soon as free agency opened.

Maybe he wants to get paid real money, instead of going the Samsonov route and betting on himself by taking a low money short-term deal?

And on D there is no 1st or 3rd pair really. Just pairings with clearly defined roles. Pretty ecstatic with that roster. Goaltending the only gigantic question mark.
