Burying Mrazek in the minors isn’t really a good option. His salary is big enough that keeping him in the minors would still leave us with about $2.7M of dead cap space, which we really can’t afford.

Dubas needs to find a way to clear out that whole cap hit, even if it costs us.

And of course, he also needs to find a good goalie. Or two. Pretty tall order.
 
Burying Mrazek won’t be enough. Move him with all the first round picks for the next decade if that’s what it takes to solidify the net.

Someone out there is available. Helleybuck, Gibson, Lehner, Saros. Identify who will provide us with the best tending the next 5 years and go balls to the wall and get him.

Is Binnington that guy for us? Those numbers don’t look good at all since the cup run.

What I would do to have our very own prospect pull a 2019 Binnington and go on a heater all the way to a cup for us.
 
At this point I don have the patience for another guy like Campbell. No more tandem goalie that may or may not be good. No more “maybe” goalies. Get me someone that is a clear cut #1.

So tiresome reading the Dubas felating when he isn’t deserving. He was gifted this core group of players and has done fuck all. No goalie, no prospects have arrived in any meaningful way. The Dubas goggles on this board are unbelievable. I get loving anything and everything leafs but fuck that presser was the least accountability taken I’ve seen since the JFJ days.

The results have been no different than throwing a blindfolded dart and here I’m reading Dubas is great because he’s making analytically driven decisions.

He is deserving. He assembled a 115 point team. He has top notch prospects in the cupboard. He has weathered storms and addressed errors he's made like a seasoned pro. And he's always been a strong and capable spokesperson for the team.

And his team came a goal away from ending a SC's champ's three-peat wet dreams. What can he do if Matty and Marner forget that they're 100+ point players when Game 6 and 7 rolls around - trade Tavares? I mean, those guys have to step up, and then suddenly Dubie looks like a fucking genius.

My only complaint is he has to stop catering to Keefe's obvious desire to have brutish slugs on the roster. Just fucking don't give him those guys and force him to play the players you like.
