I was a little disappointed in the effort in game 7 overall, but it's not like they were whupped or badly outplayed or anything. I dunno.

I would have liked to see a lot more killer instinct in game 7 personally. But Tampa changed their game. They collapsed in front of their house and didn't give the Leafs much space to work with.

this is a fair complaint. tough to quantify though. but definitely missing. they almost had it in game 6, that fucking Kucherov goal...

Just admit it...you are satisfied to gorge on the regular season.

The post season is just unnecessarily large portions of deserts served up in quick succession at inconvenient hours.

Yeah, I wasn't exactly angry at them. Tampa played a championship style desperation "block every shot, collapse in front of your net" kind of game and it wasn't something the Leafs saw much of since the Habs and Columbus series. They weren't horrible but weren't great either. I don't think home ice means much but I would have liked it to provide at least a little bit of a boost there.

But other than that one game, I have a hard time complaining much about anything.

Kind of yeah. I have all sorts of free time now and I'm kind of liking it. Strongly considering starting Better Call Saul once the fam recovers from their deadly illnesses.

I think most of us are upset we lost. Losing sucks. Sucks more when you do it repeatedly and know your window of contention closes with each unsuccessful year.

But I'm still gonna root for this same band of losers to change their story next year.

I will as well. I am blowing off steam. But this group does deserve a ton of shit and being laughed at. And our playoff embarrassment is being underrated here. 0-9 is clinching games is quite a shocking stat.

Truthfully that's where my mind immediately goes when they lose. I toss out the "why do I care so much?" question and think of all the stress-free time I'll have on my hands moving forward. It's not bad.

for the record, i have zero issues with any leafs fans' anger or venting.

but i still can't see the argument that making major moves here is the right idea, unless we're talking about similar level talents going in and out.
