Obvious to me that he wanted to keep playing but Dubie had to break the news that there was no spot for him.

So my big takeaway from this news is that Dubie is done with olds. If there’s no place for Spezza here, there’s definitely no room for garbage like Simmonds and Cliffy. Those guys are gone.

And glad they kept Spezza aboard like this. He was a class act and a good soldier, and like Sundin and others before him, and us, deserved to win a Cup once in his years here.
