TML? More like FML, amirite? Yet Another Off Season Thread

I was gonna say, they both make me want to barf. But if you're gonna pay $3m, I'd rather just go to $5m because I think Price has a waaaay better chance of being good than Gibson. And make up the difference in cash (because at this point Price is worth no more than a $3M gamble) with the other assets moving in the deal (fucking Simmonds who they wanted so bad, give them Cliffy).

The security of Kallgren back there is what preventing me from actually puking, I'll be honest.
Price has been horrible for a long time, just came off a significant injury and has drug problems.

I'll take the guy who has been horrible for a long time but was the leagues top goalie in the years before that.

Or neither. I'll take neither.

I mean if they were eating half of Gibson's deal i would definitely gamble on him but I think someone might pay full freight for him.

yeah, should've said FA market.

there were way more options last year.
and how many of the UFA goalie contracts handed out last year already look awful? vs. those that look good? legit curious, I don't know.

I just think the narrative may not be entirely aligned with reality, but could be proven wrong on that...

Gibson at 3.2 is a mucho better bet than Price at 5.25 tho.

Both bets suck, mind you. But I like the Gibson bet better since it's cheaper. Good news is they have Kallgren so neither is needed.
y'all are gonna be devastated when he's our opening day back-up.

and LOF and I will be chilling.

didn't Gibson have a big heater to start the most recent season too?

not sure how many were ultimately good signings but it sure seemed like there was a bigger list of names last year.

It doesn't surprise me that Jack's camp wants what basically seems like the minimum 1A starter's contract these days.

But will another team actually give him term on that, like 4-5 years? Doubt it. And does he really take the extra few bucks?
oilers will IMO

he was the scout JFJ leaned heavily on at the time of the deal. Button saw Raycroft bouncing back and convinced him with Rask's mandatory 2 year service it was the right call to make

At least Pogge is still playing
