And hate local OTA radio.
Since I switched to working at home, the only time I ever listen to OTA radio it's to catch a live sporting event. I can't sat I miss it in any measurable way.

Their fans sure seem happy with it. They'll have flexibility issues down the road if the cap doesn't increase as much as expected, but for the medium term they should be set up pretty well.Leafs have to be feeling good about having all of their players under contract. The clock continues to tick for Rantanen, Tkachuk, Point, Laine and Connor.
Breakdown of Point contract:
Year 1, $5.25 M total ($1 M salary, $4.25 M signing bonus)
Year 2, $6 M total ($2.5 M salary, $3.5 M SB)
Year 3, $9 M all salary
Boomer's still on, 1-3p now. Laughlin moves back to mornings.
I assume Boomer still also has the 6-7 Faceoff on weekday game nights, but they didn't post that.
This. Not only does Point avoid municipal income taxes, he also avoids State income taxes. And if he rents a home and leases a car like a smart boy, then he avoids Florida's super high property taxes and most of their hidden service fees. The AAV might be $200k less than Nylander but after taxes I would rather be Point.
Just saw that Canes alum Kevyn Adams has been named Senior VP for Business Admin for the Sabres. He's worked for the Pegula family for years now, in various capacities. Good for KA.
KA definitely got his degree from Miami (OH). I had a chance to talk to him for a bit at one of those fan kiss and make up things before the 05-06 season ... following the lockout season when the team was doing everything they could to make up for the missed season. IIRC his degree was in business admin and you guys know he went to work as a player agent before working for the Sabres and then the Pegula's other hockey interests on the biz side. Good dude. Smart guy.Yep, a non-hockey role. He did play 4 years in college and didn’t ply until fall. Maybe he got a degree. Regardless, good on him.
Yeah ... the least known of the Hunter brothers worked for Carolina's scouting department for a long while. IIRC he was a pro scout for us, and based on our crappy returns on NHL trades during that time, wasn't an especially bright shining light. Still, even for the progressive folks up in Seattle, a last name goes a long way.Ron Francis has hired several pro scouts in anticipation of the 2021 expansion draft. Shockingly, he hired Ulf Samuelsson. He also hired Stu Barnes, Dave Hunter (who worked for the Canes?) and Cammi Granato, the first woman pro scout in the league.

Hmmm, I'm wondering if this is a subconscious thing seeing as he was arguably up for captaincy this year. Now? I wouldn't give it to him. Sorry, but if you can't even behave civil with the opposite sex.... let alone the fact you are a professional athlete? Come on.Not a huge fan of THIS news, by the way. Matthews with some incredibly childish behavior that is in no way funny or inconsequential.
