At least it stopped the fucking Taylor Swift news out of NYC for 5 minutes. I have never wanted a person to fall off the face of the earth more than that woman
milkshake at Cook Out. Ask for extra watermelon. It’s a basic vanilla shake with fresh watermelon— what a great treat!

Yup, and it was. Helluva game.
I was not unhappy with that result either. The only team I love seeing lose more than Brazil is Mexico.

Largemouth Bass caught in Holt Lake, Butner, N.C.. Released to fight again. It weighed a few ounces over 8 pounds and was a pound and a half under my personal best
Black Crappie caught and released in Lake Michie. Not weighed. It was shy of 14", three plus inches and probably a pound short of my personal best. Crappie are quite good to eat, but I was a long way from a cooler at the time.

I have some pics somewhere on an old HDD, of spinners and sea turtles just off the coast of Oahu. Taken with what was probably a 3-4 megapixel camera in a housing! Top quality stuff back then!

I mainly take underwater macro pictures. It's easier to get an image of something the size of a thimble than the length of my arm. I shoot a Canon 550D, with a 100mm Macro lens, a pair of Inon S-2000 strobes, and a Nauticam housing. The housing was more than the rest of it combined.
I have a couple friends who are professional U/W photographers. One told me that it takes ~10,000 images to get one that's magazine quality and then at least double that to get a cover shot. I've got 40+ albums of underwater images from places we've been...still waiting on that magazine shot. Here's a few worth sharing.

The "nicest" camera I have a housing for is a Canon G12. And yep, the housings can cost more than the cameras. I probably only have several hundred underwater pics. And can count the decent ones on one hand!

Thanks for sharing. I have friends who dive and enjoy underwater photography as well— seems that neither are cheap hobbies. Anyway, my friends also have specific fish and sea life they hope to catch on “film” on their dive trips. They always seem to have a fish bucket list. I’m always impressed with the pics they share.
