and still no TV deal but I guess NBC is the only bidder .
Honestly, that was fair. While it benefitted the Hurricanes, the competitive balance was WAY out of whack and swapping the Wild and Stars helped a bit.In the final divisional lineup, Dallas moved to the Central and Minnesota moved to the west, so the Canes division got a little tougher.
It looks the Bolts may have a way out of their cap situation...unfortunately for them, it means putting Kucherov on LTIR...
I think they're going to have to pull the trigger on the Edmonton option here pretty shortly. Ontario and Quebec are going to get worse before they get better and you don't want to get guys trapped.Complicating the league’s plan, Ontario will move to a strict lockdown at midnight on December 26 and will last until January 9 for Northern Ontario and January 23 for Southern Ontario.

Ah, so the skate had to be making contact with the ice before. I hope they're installing a camera at almost ice level along the edge of the blue line for reviews. But yeah, this tweak makes sense
Even if Kucherov misses the whole year and they avoid the Cap Smash this season, they're looking at the same or worse for next season ... and they'll want their best forward back eventually.Tampa must be counting on Kucherov to LTIR. They re-signed dman Erik Cernak to a 3 year/$8.85 million contract ($2.95 AAV) and dman Jan Rutta to,a 2 year/$2.6 million contract. They’re now $6.15 million over the cap.
