The Bruins signed Mitchell Miller to an entry level contract. He was originally drafted by the ‘Yotes in the 4th round of the 2020 Draft but they renounced his rights when a bullying incident of an intellectually disabled child came to light.
This is really a dilemma. On one hand it was pretty awful what he did. On the other you can cancel him for the rest of his life for something he did as a child - But should you? It was awful but not mass murder. Likely unforgivable…The bullying victim's Mom apparently is on the record stating that her son never got that apology. The Bruins full of crap? Shocking, I tell you.
She said it happened every day since they were in first grade. And what he did went way beyond. I was bullied a bit at that age, but I was never forced to suck on a piss-soaked lollipop. This is really a dilemma. On one hand it was pretty awful what he did. I can see both sides of this. Surprised the Caps didn’t starch him up.

Waiting for someone to follow-up on this with Yzerman.
I don't want to cancel anybody, nor do I have that power. I would like to see evidence of actual remorse, repentance and growth before the kid begins a professional career though, and I feel like that's a perfectly reasonable expectation. Whatever nonsense this is, it's a far cry from even the most basic form of repentance. This is really a dilemma. On one hand it was pretty awful what he did. I happened to talk to Cam Neely since the time that he was signed. He’s not coming into the NHL. He’s not eligible at this point to come into the NHL. I can’t tell you that he’ll ever be eligible to come into the NHL. If, at some point, they think they want him to play in the NHL, and I’m not sure they’re anywhere close to that point, we’re going to have to clear him and his eligibility.”

Hit from behind and a hit to the head. What's the over/under on games suspended? Half a game?
