Stars send forward Denis Gurianov to Monteal for Evgenii Dadonov. It wasn’t long ago that Gurianov was regarded as all that and a bag of chips. Dadonov has been a failure in Montreal, going from 20 goals in Vegas last year to 4 in 50 games for the Habs.

Barbashev is a decent pickup, and Gurianov is a big, strong winger…both had for peanuts…

Barbashev is a decent pickup, and Gurianov is a big, strong winger…both had for peanuts…

Barbashev had one decent goal scoring year, reverted to his career norm and then got dealt for a small return. That adds up.

The Avs must have been happy with Jerk Johnson last season, they sent dman Andreas Englund to Chicago for him.

The Preds are holding Tanner Jeannot out of the lineup due to trade-related reasons.

The Rangers dressed 18 skaters as mandated by the CBA but forward Ryan Carpenter and dman Braden Schneider were not expected to play, although Carpenter has played 13 seconds midway through the 3rd. Larry Brooks says they’re being sent to Hartford tomorrow to clear cap space for Patrick Kane and can’t afford for either of them to be injured. With Miller picking up the match penalty, they’ve effectively been reduced to 4 dmen. No matter though, the Rangers are leading the Kings 6-2.

Meier trade is complete. Devils send wing Fabian Zetterlund, wing Andreas Johnsson, dman Nikita Okhotyuk, dman Shakir Mukhamadullin, a 2023 1st and a conditional 2024 1st for z either and Scott z Harrington. Sharks retain 50% of Meieirr salary. On,y Zetterlund is a current Devils roster player, Mukhamadullin is playing in the KHL but played in the AHL last year.
