Our success rate with NCAA goalies recently is not good. Jack LaFontaine (no longer Canes property) is in the ECHL now and has gone for 3.83 GAA and .851 Sv% so far this season.
And then there is Jacob Kucharski. As a pro so far, between 1 disaster of a start in Chicago last season and 3 appearances in the ECHL for Reading this season, his combined stats as a pro are 1-1-1 6.19 GAA .820 Sv% .
I don't know how Kochetkov is going to end up, but beyond him we have nothing but a bunch of real longshots in terms of players we have draft rights to. Our general aversion to North American goalie prospects is interesting to me.
