It seems the Rees' time as a fringe NHL prospect is dying a painful death in Springfield.

FU Sorum played 4 games for the Sweden U20 team (Euro 'friendlies') this past week and I didn't see his name on the scoresheet at all (Sweden scored 18 goals in 4 games, not a single point for FU Sorum?)

I've seen some speculation that the NHL/AHL conundrum might settle itself out if Chicago's ownership sees the error of their ways and decides to go back to being a proper affiliate. Bottom line, if it's a thing you're concerned about then it's best to root for the Wolves to continue to suck this year.

Good to see Nikishin putting up points in the KHL at a comparable level to his strong 2022-23 campaign!
 
I don’t know the minutes or which line they’re on, but it seems that Springfield isn’t using Suzuki or Rees the way the Canes want.

Which is what happens when you aren't the team's affiliate. Springfield is probably under pressure from the Blues to give their guys the kind of usage the Blues want, and Carolina's guys are secondary concerns. Makes sense.
 
theahl.com doesn't break out TOI (not even just flat overall TOI), shift charts or much of anything beyond the basic top line numbers. I have no idea how Suzuki or Rees are being used.

I assume Ponomarev has taken over a top 6 spot immediately since being sent to Chicago. He appears to be thriving there again.
