Me too ... although I'd have also bet that they would have made a trade before now, especially after signing Jones to be either an 8th D or an equally useful coat rack. It's starting to look more and more like they've got what they've got.

Re-signing him was another head scratcher honestly. He's pegged at 9th in the depth chart behind at least 7 guys he's nowhere near in terms of talent.

The Canes released the roster for tomorrow’s game. There are 22 players, 12 forwards, 8 dmen and 2 goalies, Freddie and Koochie. I’m looking forward to seeing Sorum, Rees, Suzuki and Robidas.

Even a half decade ago. Even at the start of the 2018-19 season there were questions. The team didn’t take off until beating the Flyers on NYE.

This. He's still a kid development-wise. Get him a nice season playing in the senior Swedish league and then play it from there.
