2023-24 Canes Misc Thread

We had first line Martinook for a goodly portion of the game against the Yotes before the break. So no surprise there, really. In fact, that line had the most 5v5 ice time for the Canes during that game.

I'd have to see what they call an "event" to know for sure. 1.5 million a year is only like an average of 4,200 people per day so they obviously aren't talking about games and concerts when they note 600 events.

The arena holds all kinds of ‘events’ from job fairs to private events for companies, graduations, etc. There are times during the holidays where 3-4 events are going on at the same time in different parts of the arena. Same thing in the summer.

To be fair he’s our sniper in 2024.

Yeah, that's the general idea. The total number of attendees is well in line with what you'd expect from a normal calendar year, so there's no need to get hung up on that one term. Plus, economic impact predictions are freaking voodoo anyway. Everybody on earth agrees that arenas and stadiums generate revenue ... and basically nobody on earth agrees on how to isolate and quantify the effect with any degree of accuracy

Game time change for Thursday ... the game against the Colorado Hype Train I mean Avalanche is now 7PM.

That's the first thing that I thought of as well, but I couldn't remember the exact wording that the org used back then.

Some of last night’s line changes have stuck at today’s practice. Jarvis is back with Aho and Turbo, MSF is reunited. But Drury and KK have gone back to centering the lines they started with, not the lines they spent the 3rd period with.

I figure he's been close for a while now. Not sure that either Vancouver or Colorado were the best matchups to take a chance though.

Aside from Raanta and Andersen, all were present and accounted for at practice. That should mean that Pesce is back after missing 2 games.
