Yeah ... between Tulsky, Yorke, the coaching staff, and the dedicated data staff, the Hurricanes have an integrated approach to analytics. There only are a couple of other teams that make data as big a part of the basic process as Carolina does, although most teams have gotten very data driven in their scouting. But in most team setups, the old hockey men often override the data people which is why you get weirdness like the last couple of rosters Dubas had in Toronto. They spent more money on analytics than any team in the league, but key decisions still came down to people like Shanahan. That's why you get disconnects like the Devils having a huge analytics staff and still hiring guys like Ruff and Keene to coach their team. It's also why I don't really trust rumors about Yorke or Tulsky taking other jobs. Not to say they won't eventually move on, but there's more to it than basic NHL logic.
