2023 Draft and UFA Thread

Hedman had 20 points his first four years. I'm not saying he's Hedman but it's way too early to know his ceiling.

His advanced stats are not great but he isn't sheltered which is nice.
No reason to shelter him. This season is for learnin', not for winnin'. They pulled the goalie with nearly 4 minutes left in the third last night. That was to give them some practice in that situation, not about trying to erase a 3 goal deficit. Marty is doing the right thing. He is tossing out these kids in every type of situation because he doesn't need to care about winning the next game to save his own job. There's no one on his bench who he won't put out there in the last minute of a close game or in overtime. His predecessors would have had a rookie like Guhle playing every other third pairing shift and then nail his ass to the bench at the 15 minute mark of the third period. Then they would complain that he isn't developing as quickly as they hoped he would before sending him down and replacing him with one of Bergevin's garbage waiver wire retread players.

Nero would say , the fix is in the room or trades are hard to make

Marty is a genius , just lose a bit more please .

Let the kids fly and learn while they make mistakes and show them what they did wrong , and more Slaf please .

Guhle is an answer down the road , Wideman or Ed isnt

20 is starting to look very comfortable, was robbed of a goal last night. Good to see

Top 10:
1. Connor Bedard - C
2. Leo Carlsson - C
3. Adam Fantilli - C
4. Matvey Michkov - RW
5. Brayden Yager - C
6. Zachary Benson - LW
7. Dalibor Dvorsky - C
8. Ryan Leonard - RW
9. Otto Stenberg - C
10. Will Smith - C

As good as Fantilli is, Connor Bedard is running shit in the WHL and looking bored doing it.

He's since scored two more goals, and it's only the end of the second period.

If some of you live in Western Canada and can go to a WHL game, I urge you to go watch him play live. A special, special talent.

Yeah, the Pats are here in Kelowna on Tuesday, but game is already sold out which never happens on a weekday, the kid has been pretty much selling out every rink he plays at this season

Krusty's referring to any criticism towards Bedard or even questioning whether he'll go #1 overall.

(Mostly me)

But you've always maintained he will go first regardless of what you think.

Bedard will go first, simple as that. He's not a center though, like it matters at that skill level.
