2024-25 Canes Miscellaneous Thread

I previously mentioned here that I am enrolled in the Canes' Adult Hockey Camp this month. At this morning's session, I thought it was funny to see some of the staging materials from the Staal number retirement ceremony lying around the bowels of the Lenovo Center.

The lines at practice today were the same as last night’s game. Jost skated but RBA said he’s still a ways away. And Carrier is getting a 2nd opinion on his lower body injury. That’s not good.

He’s better than Kooch…by a comfortable margin. His problem is he goes on the IR after injuring himself brushing his teeth. If he’s healthy he should be the #1. Im pretty much over Kooch.

The Canes are practicing today before they head to Chicago. The forward lines are as they ended Thursday. Ghost is not on the ice, we’ll have to wait until after practice to see if it’s a maintenance day or something else.

Svechnikov - Aho - Blake
Roslovic - Drury - Necas
Martinook - Staal - Jarvis
Robinson - Kotkaniemi - Jaaska

Slavin - Burns
Smith - Walker
Orlov - Chatfield

Kochetkov
Andersen

No issue with Ghost. Jost practiced a bit in a yellow sweater but didn’t finish practice. No update on Carrier. And no decision on how they’ll rotate Kochetkov and Andersen on the back to backs in Chicago and Dallas.

Wondering when the Hurricanes are going to have KK arrested for stealing? Dude is a first class passenger. I keep waiting for him to become a factor and live up to the money he makes instead of just a sometimes contributor. I believe he's played a bit more physical and had a better year this season, but given his size, he ought to be creating space for himself and others a lot more often than he does. Yet, there is pulling fourth line duty. I need to get myself one of those apple polishing gigs. A KK hat trick?...over the course of a month maybe. *sharpens pitchfork*
