2024-25 Hurricanes Prospects and Minors Thread

I'm definitely done with Ty Smith on PP1. Anyone else on the roster except for Slavin would be better at that spot.

That also means that Ty Smith is effectively useless on the roster. I'm all for sending Ty Smith back down and playing Riley Stillman or Scott Morrow or heck even Ronan Seeley or Charles-Alexis Legault as our 3rd pair Dman paired with Walker.

This 💯 I’m actually shocked Ty Smith has not been exposed more, how the Canes seem afraid to try anything or anyone else in that sixth D spot right now is beyond me. Is that Rod obsessed with that PP quarterback thing that continues to drive this?

He didn’t play on the PP at all last night, Burns ran PP1, Walker ran PP2.

And Smith is on waivers.

Yeah, he was VERY rusty last night - but as I told my buddies last night on the way back from the arena, a rusty Ghost is better than Ty Smith any day.
 
Yeah, with the Ducks' lack of forward depth that 3rd pair really wasn't tested much at even strength. So, we'll see just how rusty/hobbled he is when they play a team with a full roster on ... well, Friday I guess. Buffalo's depth lines are hardly what you'd call difficult to manage.
