Future Consideration's updated top-100. Notable name that I completely forgot about because I thought he was only eligible next year, but Saku Koivu's son is draft eligible.

No supertud at the top but the top 15 has good prospects with upsideSomeone (dunno who) said the top 15 were good.

It's a complicated situation, Count. You and WeHave seem to be a personification of it, lol. It's fun reading the jabs back and forth.I agree Dul, the Russian thing is a thing. Many corporate teams do not want a Russian Fascist homophobe on the team or one that might be sent to the steppes to fight (as per @WeHaveMoreCupsThanYou )
his is all for show, I told him that if he signs up to fight, my son will, he hasn't yet,,,It's a complicated situation, Count. You and WeHave seem to be a personification of it, lol. It's fun reading the jabs back and forth.
Catton won’t go at 2 obviously but I still expect the forwards to be most, if not all, of the top 5 picks, regardless of how strong the D supposedly is at the top of this draft. The teams drafting at the top want offensive players/talent even if some D might be “better.”Just did my first mock-draft. This will change almost certainly especially after I do some deeper dives, IE, watching more complete games and/or shift-by-shift videos. This list is based mostly on highlight packages and scouting reports combined. And this list does not factor the Russian factor, which I do believe is a "thing" especially in the top-5. Otherwise, I think Michkov would've gone #2 last year (which is where I had him ranked). Cheers!:
PS: This isn't a prediction of how the draft will go, it's my personal top-10. I had Will Smith @ #10 last year (and reluctantly at that), for example.
- Celebrini
- Catton
- Demidov
- Silayev
- Helenius
- Eiserman
- Dickinson
- Parekh
- Levshunov
- Lindstrom
Who goes #2 in your opinion? Personally, the only guy that I'd consider there besides Catton is Demidov. But with Demidov, it's harder to properly gauge him because he's playing in the MHL and not even in the VHL, let alone the top league, the KHL. The MHL is a pretty clear tier below the CHL. So, I would imagine Catton would obliterate that league. He's already obliterating the CHL with little to no comparable teammates. This kid is sooooo calm, poised with the puck. Can skate and has a deceptively effective shot. Size is OK and he has room to fill out. Reminds me of Stevie Y in many respects. Demidov is insanely skilled. But still a lesser player than Michkov was in the same league. I'd really like to see him get bumped to a better league. He's clearly way too good for the MHL.Catton won’t go at 2 obviously but I still expect the forwards to be most, if not all, of the top 5 picks, regardless of how strong the D supposedly is at the top of this draft. There's nothing very complicated about fascism or homophobia. Despite this, a lot of people don't seem to understand that dealing with those things is just as simple. You oppose it. You fight it. You defeat it. It only becomes complicated when you normalize it or rationalize it.It's a complicated situation, Count. You and WeHave seem to be a personification of it, lol. how exactly are you fighting it? Posting on X and webboards isn't really fighting the issue,,,There's nothing very complicated about fascism or homophobia. Yup , I can see 3D in the top 5I'd be shocked if there is less than 2 D drafted in the top 5 this year.
