2024 Draft

I figure 5th best for the ping pong lottery due to strength of schedule. We have the 2nd hardest schedule for the run in, after Washington.

You then simply dangle the pick for a young ELC top-6 asset - if Eiserman is on the board can’t see HuGo pass on him, unless there are significant red flags - character, work ethic etc. He’s a Boston kid they will be better informed than any other org on Eiserman IMO

Hughes was very blunt the other day, Habs are picking for need with their 1st rounder which clearly is a top-6 F
If Seattle's willing to listen on Beniers, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Problem is, there aren't a ton of players available that I'd be willing to trade the 7th pick for. Maybe Quinten Byfield?

I'm looking at the list of players who are RFAs at the end of this year, btw.

Beniers huge disappointment this year , but no issue trading for him

There’s one likely to be available in Anaheim

Have Suzuki centre the third line (of course) and tank one more year for a real winner like McDavid.

I still believe we can get into the bottom 5. Anaheim may be difficult to catch but I can see us falling to fourth or fifth. Gotta stop the OT crap though.

ANA will be impossible to catch….and I doubt we catch we the Jackets. 6th/7th last seems like where we end up.

I expect the sens will go on a decent streak and pass us handily....season has been shipwrecked by .884 goaltending. Their -17 goal diff also suggests they should be higher in the standings

it'd be nice if Zona passed us by....but I am not as confident

I thought Ottawa was losing because Tkachuk wasn't a good leader?

If we draft 6-9, it'll be Eiserman, Iginla, or a d-man not named Anton Silyavev. They're not drafting Catton or Helenius with a top 9 pick.

After Celebrini, I’d probably rank the forwards Demidov, Lindstrom, Catton, Eiserman, Iginla in terms of personal interest.

But I suspect the Habs draft list might be Lindstrom, Demidov, Eiserman, Iginla.
