I don't think any of us are lamenting letting Lehkonen go. I think some are disappointed by what we got in return for one of our better asset that we didn't need to trade at the time. But that's also the risk you have trading for prospects, sometimes you get Suzuki or Danault, and other times you get Heinemen and Barron.

Hugo didnt trade away a 70 point player , Lek was barley a 15 goal scorer on a bad team

Barron like him or not was a B plus prospect 3 years ahead of any low first rounder in any draft

RHS and still was second in goals on this team for D

Sure he makes mistakes , all our young D get turned inside out most nights

Hugo could off easily got a POS vet to rot with our other players , but chose the close to NHL prospect

The second is a nice add on , the return is what Hugo would off received at best in any scenario

Few teams had interest knowing a big payday was on the horizon and he needed to be the right fit

He did trade a 70 points player, but that wasn’t Lek. 😁

Barron was a fine prospect at the time and might still turn ok. I don’t hate him as much as the other guy. 😂
