2024 NHL Playoffs Thread

One thing I'm convinced of for sure now...Tocchet is a heluva coach. Canucks play with urgency and passion. And in spite of Petterson clearly not doing so, the rest have bought into whatever Tocchet is selling.

I thought the bar on here was always where the hab player in question would play on a contender? Many on here said that his ceiling was a 3rd liner. Fact is Leky is no 3rd liner on a contender.. I have always liked Leky, strong on the puck, great stick, excellent hockey sense, gritty, heavy shot, plays an excellent 2 way game.. I am not surprise he is doing well.. he isn't doing well because he is playing with elites (lol) .. he doing well because he is a good hockey player that has come into his own..
He was always getting chances with us but lacked finish.

we were better than the Kings that year, we probably have 25 but we don't.
I doubt we win that series. During the Price era we only beat teams over which we had a huge advantage in goal. As soon as we had to play a team with a goalie good enough to make that match-up a wash, we had to get by on the 18 guys in front of Price, who were never good enough. Aside from Price, the Habs were always the 16th best team in any playoff year (when they actually made the playoffs, that is) Next to no offense, mediocre defense, non-existent powerplay. Against the Kings we'd have had no big advantage in goal because of Quick. We'd lose in 5 low scoring, one goal games.

They have pretty much been out played in every game but 1.

nah, we were pretty offensive that year if you recall. although the Kings did bend us over in Montreal 6-0 and beat us 2-1 in your favourite city.

However I will go LeafFan re 1993 and say no way that happens in the final, we were on fire and would have won ,No one can prove me wrong
