There's literally no rhyme or reason.

Bennett pushes the Bawstun d-man into the opposing goalie, that goal was fine.

Makar pushes the Dallas d-man into his own goalie, that goal isn't good.

I am not totally against the call. I see Duchene pushing into the goalie's stick before he was pushed further by Makar.

There is contact but he’s outside the crease, he has the right to be there.
