A poor example. Mavrik Bourque would be a better player to point to.How come we can’t ever draft guys like Wyatt Johnston late in the first round? Anyone?

Johnston was 23OA. Hmm.Jets pick will now be 25, 26 or 27OA
Timmins didn't draft Mesar and it seems like there were better forwards drafted right after him.because Dimmins couldn't draft worth shit
I dont think you mess with a goalie's stick anywhere on the ice. You will get called for interference regardless. There is contact but he’s outside the crease, he has the right to be there.

Rangers are vulnerable too, and the two most vulnerable teams remains in round 2.Florida and Dallas advance but both looked vulnerable in that round I thought. Florida looked better against Tampa.
So it should be a decent semi-finals, regardless of whom advances to meet them. There are no perfect teams.
Even a clock is right twice a day.He drafted max Pac
There hasn’t been a “perfect team” since the Islanders dynasty.Florida and Dallas advance but both looked vulnerable in that round I thought. Florida looked better against Tampa.

Oilers were pretty close to perfect w Kent Nilsson as 3C and Fuhr / Moog tandemThere hasn’t been a “perfect team” since the Islanders dynasty.
They outscored other teams. Isles, and Habs before them, were much more balanced teams.Oilers were pretty close to perfect w Kent Nilsson as 3C and Fuhr / Moog tandem
Oilers G seemed to always outperform the other G given the sheer volume of odd man rushes surrendered by EdmThey outscored other teams.
Yeah, that’s my point. Dryden and Smith didn’t have to usually. Just had to make a couple of key saves a game.Oilers G seemed to always outperform the other G given the sheer volume of odd man rushes surrendered by Edm
Rope-a-dope. They've had the Oil exactly where they want them all series long, IMO. And the Oil have also had the zebras on their side. And a lot of Oil offense has come from the PP. I think Miller has done a masterful job vs McJesus, 5 vs 5. And Zadorov on Kane. Pretty much those 2 factors have really controlled the Oils 1st and 2nd lines 5 vs 5. If only Pettersen was on his game. He's not being checked well. He's just sucking badly. They have pretty much been out played in every game but 1.
Because they didn’t have as much talent in the group of 12F + 6DYeah, that’s my point. Dryden and Smith didn’t have to usually. Just had to make a couple of key saves a game.
I know. I still disagree. I’m a little older than you. Did you watch those two dynasties? I’m not saying they’d beat that Oilers team but they were both better constructed, thus more “perfect” IMO.Because they didn’t have as much talent in the group of 12F + 6D
Coffey outscored almost every opposing F the Oilers played in the playoffs back then
Dallas will annihilate their next opponent, be it Vancouver or Edmonton. And Florida won't get past the Rangers.Florida and Dallas advance but both looked vulnerable in that round I thought. Florida looked better against Tampa.

Unfortunately I only caught the very end of Isles dynasty w 83 Cup win somewhat in memory banks but 84 Butterfly Penny comeback vs Habs and eventual loss to kickoff Oilers dynastyI know. Coffey barely qualified as a defenseman. He was basically a rover, a 4th forward. Kevin Lowe did the heavy lifting on defense.Because they didn’t have as much talent in the group of 12F + 6D
