That organization is just in shambles from the ownership to the administrative side of things...maybe it's why vanek wanted nothing to do with that organization no matter what the money was

Wang leaving, team moving to Brooklyn, Tavares...I say things are looking up. Vanek should have been a bit more patient.

They wont fall apart like the Oilers and Sabres , their cup days are over for sure but they have a solid management team and these kids are getting valuable experience now and more are on the way .
Their cap is fine moving forward , dont count out Holland in this weaker conference

Detroit is just a winning organization. I couldn't care less if they fall flat on their face, become a New Jersey, but its unlikely. They'll likely continue to find core players to replace other core players, who replaced other core players. They have been what we once were; what we should have been over the last 20 years. Breaks my heart. This year is likely just a re-tool.
And it appears they still have the ability to find overlooked Swedes (Nyquist).
