Around the League 2019-2024 Edition

I never thought Brodeur was well behind Hasek and Roy myself.

I don't think Marty is far behind Roy, but Hasek was a different animal imo. No one has ever done what he did. 6 SV% titles in a row and should have been 6 Vezinas in a row (remember Jim Carey and his .906 beating Hasek and his .920?)...a run that should have been 7 Vezina's in 8 years. All starting at 29 yrs old.

Was top 5 in SV% for 8 years straight, top 10 for 9 straight...then missed a year and came back to finish 2nd in SV% at 41 yrs old (remember when he went to the Sens and terrified the shit out of us that they were finally going to win a cup until he got hurt?) then came back at 42 and finished 9th in sv% (50+)

Dude went from 28 yrs old and couldn't stop a puck to 29 yrs old and the GGOAT.

Decent but I remove Toews

Fedorov
Carbonneau
Brind'Amour
Clarke

Are four off the top of my head that I have ahead of Toews

I dislike him pretty severely, but he was the #1 all purpose matchup centre with god tier defensive nerdies on what passes for a dynasty in the forced parity modern NHL. The Hawks were an elite defensive team during those years and he's a huge reason why. Prime Toews was a crazy good defensive centre. I stand by the Toews choice. Fedorov is the only one of those 4 I would seriously consider for knocking him off.

Watching Calgary and STL for a bit and really Calgary sucks. That team is going to fall apart in 1-2 years max and go into full rebuild mode.

Gordie at 35

It's tough to use a "he's having a great year for an old man" argument against Gordie. Fwiw, I have Gordie 4th.
Pretty incredible too.

Isn't Crosby 3rd all time in adjusted points per game?

Of course we'll have to see how the next couple years play out. I think Crosby is absolutely top 5 all time, and I have him at 4.
