Around the League 2019-2024 Edition

Neither Florida nor Calgary are as bad as they've started the season. Both have had legitimately very good key players shit the bed to start. Markstrom and Hubie in Calgary, Ekblad & Barkov in Florida.

Markstrom has a spotty enough track record tho.

And Ekblad was never very good prior to playing with weegar.

I say the same shit at street hockey - why the fuck would a person go out of his way to injure someone like that.

It's not a fucking video game - the person has to live outside the rink, and in these guys' cases, perform while on it for their livelihood.

Such a shit thing to do.

Not sure if this was posted elsewhere, but a London Knight appears to have committed suicide yesterday jumping from his condo downtown.

We employ 2 members of that team now and they were recent additions. I think I have enough trust in Dubas not to bring in any of the players in question.

I have no idea how Chiarot was ever worth a 1st to begin with.
Life is nice for a GM in Florida. Zito has been a disaster with that deadline+the offseason and it's fine.
In this deep draft no less. Why would you offer an unprotected first in what many are calling the deepest draft since 2003?

Oh right, they thought they could significantly modify their team and that would be an improvement over a presidents cup winning roster. They figured picking in the 30 range?

So stupid and yes, Zito needs popped. He's awful.

Expring, 3.1 million cap hit.

What would that do to our ability to add a big salary at the deadline though?

Muzz gives us all the space we need tbh. But if salary has to go out Kerf's caphit is still a freeby for any team that doesn't cost them any actual money at all.

Wouldn't it just be easier to trade future considerations for him at 50%?. Team moving him get out of more cap hit than they would putting him in the minors
