The too many men call last night is breaking that fan base. LOL. Not the worst call I've ever seen. Oilers were on the power play at this point. Looks like the departing player is a good fifteen or twenty feet from the bench...lol.

 
Yeah, no problem with that call. Oil on PP. Guy is able to join the play in the offensive zone and wind up for a shot before the departing player is in the five foot radius.

This but they didn't play the puck complaint is dumb. So you can have six skaters as long as you don't touch the puck?

that's the practice though, and what everyone has come to expect.

NHL officiating has not been at all faithful to the actual rulebook for a very long time.
 
tuned in to a bit of the Change game last night, and listening to the Edmonton crew trying to polish the turd of a 2-3 goal deficit where they're being outshot 2-1 was hilarious. "they're only a shot away from getting back in this". This would actually anger me to hear.
