Ward: I don't believe Babcock will survive this
Former NHL defenceman Aaron Ward tells us what he thinks the future holds for Columbus Blue Jackets coach Mike Babcock and takes your questions for ask Aaron Anything Fridaywww.tsn.ca
Interesting take by Aaron Ward, he thinks Babs is a goner. He said a Columbus insider spoke to him, told him Babcock is basically a weirdo that nobody knows how to react to, everybody in the organization is walking on eggshells. Who needs this kind of stress?
I think CBJ's problem right now is their GM/managementIf you're a team in Columbus you shouldn't keep hiring coaches players don't want to play for. You have enough issues keeping talent.
Their minor league system looks really good to me. Should be competitive sooner rather than later. The Babcock hire always did seem like an odd choice, though. So, uh, when is CBJ ownership going to realize that the Finnish Bond villain is a fraud and probably shouldn't be the guy in charge?
He's been in charge there for a decade and has been consistently terrible. Makes The Charlantan (Marc Bergevin) look like a genious in comparison.
