Around The League - 2024-25 Regular Season

No one lives in expectation of a hostile offer sheet, let alone two of them. Holloway they could have kept but at the same time, guys like him can be found anywhere and everywhere for cheap. Broberg might pan out but it may take more than the 2 year deal to which the Blues have signed him for us to see it. In the meantime it's a massive overpay for a guy who spent most of the season in Bakersfield because he couldn't crack a mediocre blue line in Edmonton.
They should off been regulars on that team by now especially Holloway

Then if you cant pay them , you trade them for more than they got

your transformation into an Oiler fan is almost complete, next March you will be in one of those 1/2 and 1/2 jerseys

Should have but weren't because they're inconsistent. Broberg especially should have been able to stick considering the mediocrity of most of their blue line but he couldn't. He couldn't be consistently better than Brent Fucking Kulak.

That's because he hates French people and can't really understand the articles anyway. It's tantamount to self loathing.

it shows you follow that team way more than your usual analysis re the Canadiens. I get it is probably as much that you can stick it to the Leafs but you are slowly morphing, search your feelings, you know it to be true.
I follow them inasmuch as I listen to local sports talk radio so I have more insight than people who live in other cities. When I lived in Vancouver I knew a lot more about the Canucks too. But I only root for the Canucks when they play Toronto. I rooted for Boston in 2011.

I have more respect for the Oilers and I'm fine with them winning (since the Habs aren't going to the playoffs any time soon) I was never fine with Vancouver winning. And seeing how triggered Leafs fans are by the Oilers it's an irresistible temptation for me.

I don't have as much lately to say about the Habs because for the most part I agree with the way they are now conducting their business. I like the front office and I like the coach and I especially like their "Fuck the fans" business model. That wasn't the case under the previous regime. There's much less to bitch about nowadays.
