If that's the whole deal... That's pretty fair considering Winnipeg's hands were tied. Definitely better for Pittsburgh though.

Who did the Habs have to match Yager? Sure seems criteria was F drafted 13-15OA in last couple of drafts
If offered I would off accepted Mailloux
They need D more than Yager even if Ehlers leaves

I’ve been proposing that for a while but it’s pretty clear based on rumors from draft and trade w Pit - Chevaldayoff seems to have targeted a F drafted in 23 or 24

I think that would be Hage and we turned down that deal.
That one is tempting but Hage has a higher ceiling IMO , elite skills

Logan Mailloux, Michael Hage, those types.
The people who thought that a Mesar + Barron + our second 1st round pick for McGroarty was an overpay are insane to me.
McGroarty's an excellent prospect who, in regular cases, would never get traded.
