6 rounds won in 4 years vs 1 round in 7 years tells the story. You expected them to win because they won a lot more than the current group. They were still failures in the end though.
 
I'm also not sure what the media narrative was as I was an early teen. From what I remember those teams had 0 expectation and the sens were the golden child of the Canadian teams.

Meanwhile this team based on the media is garbage and is still expected to make the 2nd or 3rd round or everything is a failure.

If we're trapping after the deadline with 5 grenade launchers on the blueline, I'll be first in line to say the same about Berube.

What I know sitting here right now is that Babcock was some sort of weirdo hockey villain and the last game Keefe coached we lost with Noah Gregor on the ice in the 3rd period of a tied game 7.

I'm open to being disappointed in new and exciting ways though, sure.
 
I think most of us agree that the 21-22 team was our best team, both regular season and playoffs (even though they lost to the bolts in round 1 and beat them the next year).
