GDT #50: Cunt, Sexy and Cock vs BJs

Jack will be fine. He's at .920 on the year. On pace to play 60gms.

The big problem is that Pete is unplayable while Jack sorts his shit out, not that Jack's game has fallen apart for a bit here. If we had a guy who could give us a .900-.910 while carrying the water for 3-4 weeks, we'd be fine here.

You’re gambling and rolling the dice with any of them, so why bother. The only play here is trying to get rid of Mrazek and replace him with someone cheaper who’d be just as likely to perform as well or better than him.

Goalies are voodoo.

Petr Mrazek Last 3 Years:

40 GP: .914
40 GP: .905
12 GP: .923

It's not beyond the realm of possibility that he can turn it around.

That being said I think Varlamov (33) might be the play. Fleury's numbers are solid but he's 37. The wheels can come off at any time.

Of every position, goaltending takes have been forumice's weakest. It's no coincidence that it's Kyle's weakest as well. Shit is hard to figure out.

Nah. Jacks play is just as big of a problem. We’re not talking about an iffy stretch, we’re talking about toskala level play.

So two years ago the leafs barely made the play-ins. They were inconsistent all year, lost to a zamboni driver and went into the playoffs cold if i recall. And then last year it was the broken PP. And now this year it's the goaltending (and the opposition). Every year is a new reason to feel hopeless. These guys are good.

Consistency is key.

It's impressive. I got fooled into thinking this year was different because everything seemed so perfect but some good folks here warned me. They knew something like this was coming. I should have listened.

This season is honestly about saving dubas job. Just need avg goaltending to give him a shot. I think he might get one more year if we lose to Tampa (and no one else) in the first round and put up a fight.

Agree with above that this is the only priority for Dubas until the deadline to use his cap space and assets on.

A 7 game loss to Tampa might save Dubas, but they might still need to make a major move. 0-6 would be too much in the playoffs.

MLSE has shown with the raps a lot of patience in losing, but yeh - would guess big changes would be coming no matter who the GM is if we lose again - Marner or Nylander as JT isn’t gonna likely waive his NMC.

Fleury does make so much sense. 3 cups, and another 2 finals runs, 2 of which he was the backup/platooning, so he doesn't have an ego that need stoking and could play second fiddle to Jack if he ever gets his groove back.

He is also wildly inconsistent, but bad Fleury is .905-.912. He's never just unplayable.

Fleury makes sense but the odds of the Leafs and the rest of the Canadian teams being on his no-trade list seem very high to me, considering what he values.

What? The raps have won 48+ games (approx on pace again this year) in every season since 2013 but one.
