GDT #6: Thurs-May 2-8PM - Boston Bruins @ Toronto Maple Leafs - Why Not Us? Bruins Suck, Go Leafs Go!

He has 3-5 wtf moments every game.

a lot of it stems from indecision and I can’t decide if that’s a fatal flaw or living in fear that Shelly queef is gonna sit him for a useless broken plug if he makes a mistake.
Probably both tbh, but the latter has led to a case of the former

Boosh has been lolelite in this series. He’s gotten ozone heavy usage so he’s been very sheltered but he’s done a good job.

The real story though is McCabe. He’s been awesome.

sure seems like the problem with McCabe-Brodie in the playoffs last year was Brodie all along.

Benoit-McCabe has been a nice upgrade, though McCabe-Brodie did start out strong before falling apart last year so we'll see.

and yeah Boosh has replaced Schenn just fine.

Eddy-Lilly hasn't been great, but better than Gio-Holl were last year.

Eddie, Boosh and Benoit are perfectly good at chucking pucks off the forwards standing at the blue line for the Leafs stretch dump in transition game.

On the other hand Eddy was Pronger-esque and bailed him out multiple times. I wouldn't mind more of that.

If they lose this series it's for 3 reasons

injuries
starting samsonov
the power play being flaccid

2 of those, should be causation for the entire purging of the coaching staff.

Im not sure you get Shanatree out though
Yeah, well those 3 reasons, plus the fact that Boston was the slightly better team.

there are guys that can play here and guys that can't. Nylander seems to be a guy that can play here.
Nylander is the only one who elevates his game in the post-season, but if you ask 100 Leafs fans who out of the core 3 (I exclude Tavares because his contract is an untradeable boat anchor) they would get rid of if they had to get rid of one and probably 90 of them would say Nylander.

It was and that's not a good thing. Hopefully his confidence continues to grow because I'm pretty sure it's purely a confidence thing.
yeah his main issues are between the ears. dude is strong like an ox and a good skater. sigh.

This is why getting him playoff reps earlier in his career was important when he was only expected to be a #6. We need him to be a #2-3 now and he's not there in his head with it.
