If Dach is as afraid to get injured as as been implied, he needs a psychologist. I get the PTSD he is suffering from all his injuries, but if he can't get over it, he might as well retire.

I have written off Dach and Slaf may just go nuts in the second half like last year
 
Progression is never linear. Hoping Slaf has a better second half like last year. It takes time for big guys. Play him on first line. His development is key to the rebuild.

Dach isn’t a centre play him on wing put Newhook on second as centre. Still think Newhook tops as third liner.

I can’t help but feel management expected this outcome. The youngsters are nt ready to accept the torch yet.

it would only be incompetent if they were trying to make the playoffs, which they aren't. We are not even halfway through this rebuild. All HuGo have done thus far is turn over the roster and even then, we still have a couple of boat anchors to get rid of before we can get going on building back up. Rebuilds don't happen in 1 or 2 years unless you're in a US market that elite free agents want to play in. When you're a team that is at or near the top of every player's no trade list, it takes longer.

Newhook is a faster Evans. Nothing special.

USA teams dont rebuild overnight from a tear down like us
