Actually, probably the best Newf of all to play in our system was a fellow named George Faulkner, in the 1950s. He was a legend back home and still playing senior hockey back there when I was a kid. Most not from there would have to look him up now of course. He played several years on the farm in Shawinigan and in exhibition games with the Habs, but as it was the 1950s Habs...need I say more.

I think that if a team is willing to draft Michkov, there isn’t enough difference between Smith and Carlsson to change their mind.

There is little argument that Michkov is a top 3 talent in the draft.

Actually there's enough argument that he isn't otherwise they'd not care about the Russian factor. I'm all for taking a risk on him but would do so with a pound of salt considering what we don't know.
