I would still trade the 2 of them for Owen Power. My guy Simon Boisvert thinks Barron's our top prospect, better even than Guhle.
Not sure I share the sentiment, but I respect his opinion a ton.

MmmmmmmhhhHmmm
With a the most dynamic and fun to watch young pairing since Toews and twenty cent! That is so awesome. The foundations of an elite D corps.
Seems like opinions on Barron are quite diverse.

Top pair player but not not in the 1st tier class of D like Yosi or HedmanWouldn't a bigger, more rounded Erik Johnson in his prime be elite?
We'll see if they actually abide by/adhere to that credo. Easy to say months before the draft at a Q & A session.I do love that Hughes said in yesterday's fan Q&A that you always take BPA and roster construction comes later.
An obvious answer, but not so obvious for our former GM, so still nice to hear.
Talk is cheap… Gorton’s amateur drafting record says otherwise w a putrid success rateWe'll see if they actually abide by/adhere to that credo. Easy to say months before the draft at a Q & A session.
Disagree Gorton’s been NHL ownerships GM doormat time & again - Bruins & NYR. He’ll do as he’s told, since he needs another 4.5 years to vest in NHL equity programGeoff probably influenced a lot of Bergy's decision making...
I don't think Geoff will tell Gorton how to do his job...
I'm a bit of a forum creeper and from what I can tell many fans believe their team has a terrible success rate with the draft.Talk is cheap… Gorton’s amateur drafting record says otherwise w a putrid success rate
Even if Baron only tops out as a number four defenseman, this trade becomes a home run. He's described as a mark methot clone. That would be outstanding.
He definitely has a top pairing ceiling. Probably settles into a 2nd pairing guy though. That is probably his ceiling 3/4 which is fine
Total BS. You’re clearly still bitter that your gal Emile didn’t get the GM gig here, aren’t you?Disagree Gorton’s been NHL ownerships GM doormat time & again - Bruins & NYR. He’ll do as he’s told, since he needs another 4.5 years to vest in NHL equity program
