Lehkonen traded to Avs

Trade aside, Lehkonen should have everyone's respect and admiration for the time he's spent here.

He's a limited player who played the best he could, regardless of the circumstances and the role we put him in.

He also scored the most important goal in this franchise's last 28 years, one that will be re-posted time & time again by this generation of fans onto the next:

Everyone respects Lek

If we were anywhere close to a contender , you keep him

Served us well , but time to go to greener pastures and chase ring

never read the comments (on twitter, or articles) haha

i just like how everybody conveniently forgot what matthews did - which imo is the same ballpark as what LM did but you would probably have to ask the victims

i did not want the habs to draft him, but like most people i think if he keeps clean from here on .... good

if he doesn't give him the kassian treatment
Agree with this 100%... all of it.

Absolutely not. If you can trade a deluxe role player for a likely top four, if not higher, d-man for the next 15 years, you do it, Cup contender or not. Sakic must be under crazy pressure from Stan Kroenke to win the Cup because the trade is illogical from almost every perspective.

P.S. The legend of Arturi grew a lot due to his iconic goal last spring, don’t deny it. And trust me, I like him . . . but still.

You make this deal 7 days a week

Can’t overrate third line role players on bad hockey teams

Avs are going for it , it’s a move that helps them now

Good hockey deal for both

Lehky is a great fit for the Avs. A middle 6 kid who the coach is going to love. They don't need a lot over offensive contribution from him... but in that lineup I'm sure he'll score a bit more too. Plus he's super cheap and an RFA so that's a bonus for them.

I love the deal for us, but I don't think it was a bad move for the Avs at all.
