He chose not to accept the Habs offer. That is the salient point you need to keep in mind when you argue in favor of players exercising their free agent muscles more. All that's going to do is make it harder for us to retain our best players or attract other good players.
And Reid and Gabbard aren't the same. Only Joy has a functioning brain. Gabbard is a reptile who only looks to sate an appetite.
he turned down AFTER we didn't qualify him, so he was a free agent not of his own doing, he just doesn't want to come back to us.
