New Canadian Politics Thread

Puffing in the morning ....
So apparently Trudeau might soon be bailing for his new home at the U.N.
Libs are a mess but could still win if they jettison the fat little mouthpiece (Freeland) and replace them with someone new and a clear vision. (not reality but the illusion of helping to win it again lol), Trudeau 2 .... does Chretian or Martin have any children? lol.
The only saving grace in this soon to be circus, is the NDP's turd master's ego that is castrating the NDP by not leaving. this guy is a severely fucked up individual. He is so out of touch with reality.
The Tards and the NDP will turn this election into guns and violence at our doorstep as well as the environment. The cons will want to turn this into an energy agenda.
Speaking of the environment ... why the hell are we paying any penalty in terms of environmental damages? Most of the damage is done by big business and their profits should be split to pay for all damage done to the planet.
The thinking astounds me ... they have speed limits of 100 kph. Why is it legal for them to make a product that is totally illegal? yet we get the tickets and all the concerns and the company gets in the profits.
Water is one of the most important issues facing our planet yet we allow big businesses to rape and pillage this supply.... it isn't theirs!
I have a neighbor who lives in Germany and owns a few thousand acres in Ontario ... not an easy thing anymore. He grows only canola and other crops that can be exported to China and Africa. We pay for many many grants and taxes that help him to take his money back to his country.
No taxes and he gets the water for free. He gets the infrastructure free. He leaves a few acres of wooded areas and gets tax relief for keeping that portion untouched, not cut or plowed.
The tip of the iceberg is coming and everything around it will be pulled under or smashed. It's like a lemonade stand after the OPP have sent in their swat unit to apprehend and shakedown the little kids running it lol ... what Schwab wants Schwab gets. lol lol.
Have a gun on your person in the act of a crime and usually, that results in prison time. Get drunk and kill someone, kill a few people, and they get a kiss and hug so they don't feel like they are being victimized !!!! WTF!!!
 
I like Freeland but if she has been tarred by JT, she might lose. Maybe the Cons beat her, get their minority.

Paving the way for Mark Carney to pull Canada into the 21st century.
 
I’m not sure how much of a victory it’d be for the CPC to only win a minority.

Tough sell if the party’s led by Poilievre and runs a populist/culture war campaign, then needs at least one of the Libs, NDP or Bloc to prop them up in order to govern.

Not much of a victory bur remember Harper only one majority (and 3 minorities) and he's considered a recent day GOAT in that party.

PP vs. Chrystia would be an interesting race though...

sadly I'm concerned Chrystia's gender will still work very much against her :(

in fact, perhaps the opposite: Fall Election?

Because — honestly, truthfully — election talk is starting up again in Ottawa. As in, a federal election. As in, commencing in the month of November.



We know, we know. It makes no sense. Justin Trudeau and Jagmeet Singh did their Axis of Weasels deal in a smoke-free backroom, and agreed no election for another three years, give or take.



So, there’s no need for an election. And no one wants an election. But notwithstanding all that, serious people are now having serious talks about one.
