Even though none of those assertions stands up to even the most basic scrutiny. People need to get it through their heads that once any service is privatized, the focus of that service ceases to be about provision and delivery. It becomes all about wringing out a profit and the easiest way to make a profit, especially when you have a government contract with no competitors, is to cut corners on provision and delivery. This is why privatized healthcare is always bad unless you're independently wealthy to begin with. You pay more and get less every time.

I wouldn't even mind unchecked capitalism so much if it applied to everyone but it never does. The uber rich and corporate elites get welfare when they screw up because they're "too big to fail" while the rest of us are subjected to brutal capitalism with all the negative consequences.
 
I think the issue is the sole source contracting of these locations to Staples and the cost to set them up. Most of Service Ontario locations are privately operated and have been for years.

Well yeah but I think the main issue is we are paying 75 million dollars to retrofit these locations. We are paying so that we can drive more traffic to a shitty American retailer.
