Entirely, entirely useless leader and party.

Fuck me I wish they were competent. I would love a competent progressive party.

The only real upside of an early election is that it’d almost certainly spell the end of both Singh & Trudeau.

The extremely bad news would be PM PP. but I’m not sure there’s any path left to avoiding that at this point anyway. Best we can hope for is that he’ll be hobbled by a minority.

Even if he's real, Trudeau looked good here. These attempts on making him look bad are backfiring. He's very good at this.
you must have watched a different video than I did, the guy gave out his legit concerns and Trudeau responded with talking points, he basically dismissed the guy, in the end it doesn't matter as the next election is a foregone conclusion

I just wish I could vote for the Bloc in my riding as they are the only honest party around

The longer PP stays in the spotlight, the less popular he gets. Play out the clock on this term and we're probably looking at a PP minority, which yeah is fine for a few years before he loses a confidence vote and we go back to the polls.

maybe but the Bloc hates Trudeau more than the Conservatives do

I don’t think how they feel about Trudeau really matters.

It’ll largely come down to whether they’re financially prepared for an early election & whether they feel they can boost their seat count substantially (they didn’t in the last election).

They’ll also have to weigh the risks of exchanging their current hold on the balance of power for being purely spectators to a potential Reform Party majority led by PP.

seems like a fall election is most likely. requires Jagmeet contriving an issue to bring a no-confidence vote on though, I would think...
Reading a bit more, NDP might still support on issues. But maybe this whole breakup is basically to force the Libs to give in more since they don't have the deal anymore, and at least give the NDP some press when they hem and haw about whether to support each motion.

it's time for the Libs and Dips to merge. enough is enough.

Thing is though, they're different parties for a reason.

Just like the Prairie Conservatives and Coastal/Ontario/Quebec Conservatives are very different parties. If anything, the "right" thing to do is for the Conservative party to break up.

conservative party merged because they knew they were fucked if they didn't.

with the current political makeup, it's about to happen to the left.

but for the Bloc, having such a party running the country, as odd as it might sound, helps their drive for sovereignty or so they think as Quebecois are a tad more left than much of the country. I don't agree with the Bloc on policy but I have to respect that they are honest, they only care about how legislation affects la Belle Province

will never happen, the NDP sees themselves as the true opposition and hates the Liberals more than they do the Cons. All Singh did every election (Layton and Broadbent too for that matter) is bash the Liberals, they would rather than Liberals die and see a Cons elected than Cons lose and support the Liberals during a campaign
